Subscriber Update


You have probably noticed that for the past couple of months you did not receive your regular shipments from us.

In December our supply chain got interrupted and as a result the company got into financial trouble. We decided to stop taking orders (we had nothing to ship) and rebuild the business.

I am happy to share today that we will be able to continue shipping fresh frozen spirulina to you!

TLDR: We have a new partner and changed our products. You will need to place a new order to restart your subscription. Old subscriptions will not continue. Shipping has resumed.

A lot of things have changed, so I want to give you all the information you need to decide if you want to continue your subscription with us. If you want to receive more spirulina, simply start a new subscription on our website and select the frequency and quantity you want. You can still cancel, skip or reschedule anytime via your account, text message or email.

Your old subscription will not automatically continue since we no longer offer the same products. All previous subscriptions will expire on July 19, no action is needed on your end if you do not want to receive another order.

After the continued issues with our supply chain in 2023, we have decided to team up with a new partner called SimpliiGood (learn more here). They have years of experience in Spirulina and will be able to mitigate seasonal fluctuations in production much easier allowing us to ship more reliably.

As we are restarting shipments, we have decided to make some changes to the products that we offer:

1. We will no longer offer the refrigerated paste

Unfortunately, we had to make the tough decision to discontinue the paste for now. While we love the paste, producing and shipping this product has always been extremely difficult and more often than not the quality that arrived at your house was not as good as we wanted it to be.

2. Our frozen products have changed

· We increased the size of the individual serving from 12g to 20g
· We changed from bulk cubes to individually wrapped pods for better protection during shipments

Otherwise, the product is still the same: 100% pure, frozen spirulina!

3. Our subscription has changed

We will now offer a 20% discount on your subscription orders (compared to previously 10%). You can still cancel, skip or reschedule anytime via your account, text message or email. If you have not yet signed up for subscription management via text, we highly recommend doing that right here.

4. Pricing has changed

Since the individual servings nearly doubled, we had to adjust the pricing:

30 pods: $100 ($80 w/ subscription)
60 pods: $160 ($128 w/ subscription)
90 pods: $200 ($160 w/ subscription)

5. Shipping fees have changed

Shipping your order overnight and on dry ice has always been one of the most expensive parts of our operations. To more accurately reflect that and to ensure we can cover cost for all orders, shipping fee will be split into two groups:

Ground: New York, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, District of Columbia, New Jersey
Free shipping on orders $150+, $9.99 shipping fee for smaller orders

Air: All other US states (excl. Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Alaska)
There will be an overnight fee of $25.

6. Timeline

Our website is accepting new orders and subscriptions already. Shipments will start on Monday (July 15) and our shipping days will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursday moving forward - your order will arrive the day following shipment.

I know it’s been a long time since you have received your last order. I appreciate your patience as we were navigating these tough times. A lot of things have changed, but we remain committed to delivering only the highest-quality, freshest spirulina.
