Our fresh frozen Spirulina Pods contain 100% Spirulina (Arthrospira platensis) and nothing else. They are regularly tested for contaminants, heavy-metal and toxins by a third part lab.

Our never-processed Fresh Spirulina in smoothie-ready frozen pods. As the superfood that turns any smoothie into a “green” smoothie, Fresh Spirulina supercharges the nutrient profile while upping the vibrancy of your favorite smoothie recipe with its mild taste and creamy, smooth texture. Our Frozen Pods help create a satisfying consistency—like blending a frozen banana (but with far more nutrients). Plus, our fresh-freezing process keeps your Fresh Spirulina at its harvest peak quality, forever!
Fresh Spirulina is free of all major food allergens. It is gluten free, non-GMO, and vegan. And of course, we grow our Spirulina without pesticides or herbicides.
Spirulina is a blue-green algae that grows naturally in fresh water lakes in Africa and North America. Each individual Spirulina organism is only about as thick as 3-5 pieces of paper, but provides you with:
- Protein to fuel your body with all-natural, plant-based nutrition.
- Amino acids to accelerate recovery and healing.
- Antioxidants to boost your immune system against damaging agents in our blood.
- Phytonutrients, chlorophyll, phycocyanin and beta-carotene, to remove toxins from the blood while fighting free radicals and cell damage.
- Fiber and B vitamins that naturally stimulate microbial growth to promote a diverse and balanced microbiome.
Start your day with whole food nutrition that supports your body and the earth. We recommend daily use to achieve the maximum health benefits:
- 1 pod for general immunity and metabolism boost
- 2 pods for heightened athletic performance, recovery, and healing
- 3 pods or more to correct acute nutritional deficiencies
We ship in insulated boxes to your preferred address in the entire continental US. Shipping fees depend on the distance from our facilities since all shipments need to arrive within 48 hours. We typically ship our Spirulina at the beginning of the week.

fresh SPIRULINA
VS dried SPIRULINA.
Our Fresh Spirulina is completely unprocessed. After we filter the algae from the water, we gently press it to reduce the water content. The end result is a soft paste that can be refrigerated or frozen.
To turn the algae into a dry powder, it needs to be dehydrated often by spray-drying. It is then often combined with additives to prevent the powder from clumping or pressed into pills with some form of glue.

Our Fresh Spirulina is still alive and contains natural enzymes our body needs to absorb the nutrients.
Dried spirulina is dead (often for months) and the nutrients are not readily bioavailable.

Our Fresh Spirulina has a mild flavor and smooth texture that easily blends in smoothies and juices.
Dried spirulina has a strong fishy flavor that is not enjoyed by everyone.

We use filtered water and controlled growing conditions to ensure the highest quality possible. Our Fresh Spirulina is immediately frozen after harvest to guarantee the cleanest and freshest product.
Dried spirulina is mostly grown overseas, sometimes in questionable conditions, such as open outdoor ponds that are prone to contamination. Then once harvested, it is spray-dried and shipped to the U.S.

Othering was easy, arrived fast, the quality is high, and the packaging is comfortable
The product is excellent
I’m really disappointed. Apparently this is made in Israel and shipped to the US. What a shame. The owner was on his high horse about carbon foot print… blah blah blah…
I am sorry to hear that you are dissapointed. We are not making any secret about where our spirulina is grown and are happy to answer any questions about the sourcing. Furthermore, spirulina cultivation is still one of the least carbon intensive forms of agriculture, since it doesn't require any arable land, no pesticides and absorbs large amount of carbon during the growth process. Container shipping our product from Israel to our warehouse in the US does not significantly change the overall carbon footprint of the product.
These pods are wonderful - i love starting my day with a smoothie using spirulina.
