Full Job Description
The role will be supporting our team with the entire fulfillment process from product manufacturing to order shipment. Responsibilities associated with this position include the processing and packaging of our harvest, the preparation of shipping materials, order fulfillment, supply chain and inventory management. You will work closely with the founders and farm team to ensure an efficient order fulfillment process. As a team member of a small startup, you will be required to do a little bit of everything.
This is a hands-on role requiring an individual who is willing to roll up their sleeves, comply with proper food safety practices, and maintain a positive attitude in the work environment even under time pressure. Past experience in the agriculture or food industries is a plus but not required.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day operations and tactical coordination of distribution and logistics out of our Brooklyn facilities
Manage all incoming orders, print shipping labels & prepare shipping materials
Processing & Packaging of We Are The New Farmers products for our D2C customers
Cleaning and sanitation of equipment in accordance with food safety practices
You will spend 4-6 hours standing and walking in our facility. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Bachelor’s Degree or prior work experience required
Flexibility to deal with the erratic schedule of farming (this is not your typical 9-5)
Comfortable with repetitive tasks and physical work
Organized and detail oriented, able to see task through to completion, and finds satisfaction in a job well done
A punctual, dedicated, and dependable team player with a positive attitude
A proactive, clear communicator with managers and coworkers
A get-it-done, do-what-it-takes attitude
